Mark and his team did a fantastic job with our front and back lawns and garden beds. The first day they showed up the weatherman got it wrong and it started pouring rain. They worked through the pouring rain to get the weeds dug out of our garden beds, pulled out 5 over grown yews and prepped everything for a return visit. They returned with triple mix, seed and mulch and finished our garden beds and overseeded the lawn. Will update once the grass seed takes and fills in.Thanks Mark and team!
Do not hire this company for your yard work. They lack attention to detail, rush through every visit for our weekly lawn cut and they don't clean up grass cuttings that end up on my neighbours property.I just noticed that one edge of my grass is extremely crooked if you look at it from the street. This is an example of their lack of detail while working on my property. They also mow over weeds in my grass instead of pulling them out to prevent them from spreading.I also don't like how the owner doesn't communicate when his workers will be coming to our property to do work. One time they just showed up to do a spring clean up that we specifically said we weren't going to hire them for this year. If I wasn't home to turn them away, they would've done the work and I would've been charged for something I didn't want! Very unprofessional.Overall, it seems as if this company just wants as many customers as possible to bring in cash; however, there is no care towards the customers property. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
Like so many of the reviews for Dependable Lawn Care I can only say good things [which is why I chose this company in the first place - based on all the positive reviews]. I was looking for a new company to look after all of my gardening/lawn care needs as well snow clearing in the winter. When I met with Dennis he assured me all would be taken care of in a professional and timely manner. While I can only speak of the gardening service so far, seeing as I have not gone through a winter season yet, all I can say is so far so great. My property looks lovely and well manicured and the team that shows up to do the work are always personable, polite, professional, and willing to do what’s asked. And of course Dennis is a wonderful spokes person for his own company while being extremely personable, friendly and attentive as well! It appears this is one lawn care service that will not disappoint, I highly recommend!REVISED REVIEW: OK so now winter has come and gone and sadly I need to revise my original review because the exact service I needed the most was a bomb. The one and only time we had an unprecedented major snowstorm, Dennis was the biggest disappointment I have ever encountered. His original contract stipulated snow removal would be completed within 12 hours from end of the event. While I understand this storm we had last January was not the norm, I am a very understanding and tolerant person. Upon texting Dennis the next day (the snowstorm ended 2 PM on a Monday afternoon) only with the hopes of receiving a ballpark time that they would complete the job, he continued to jerk me around the entire day and by 7 PM I had no choice but to clear massive amounts of snow myself. I am a senior living alone with physical limitations and so this type of work only sets me back for days to recover. Upon texting Dennis at 7 PM to inform him I will clear my own snow and to reimburse my full payment, he ignored that text completely. Then at 10:30 PM he texted me to say “good news, on our way and will be there in five minutes“. Once again I told him not to bother and to turn his truck around as well to reimburse my payment.I did finally receive reimbursement however he had the nerve and the cheap pettiness of deducting the first two weeks of January [whereby he did nothing], calling these two weeks payment for “standby“.I would never recommend Dennis for anyone and for any type of work because all he is interested in is filling up his roster beyond his abilities only to receive monies upfront. This is all he is interested in. His customer service is the worst ever, as well, being an understanding and very patient person that I am, all he had to do was indicate an approximate time he might arrive at my home to clear the snow so I would no longer be a shut-in senior. Even had he said he wouldn’t have been able to get to my residence until 36 hours after the event I would have been OK with that. at least that way I would have known and could have planned my own schedule accordingly. The one thing I cannot tolerate is being jerked around over and over throughout the entire day as he had. I can only recommend to stay away from this company.
It was our first time using Dependable and we could not have been happier - our yard has never looked this great. We only regret not having found them sooner! Dennis gave us an excellent price for cleaning up our large property. His crew was both professional and friendly and they got the job finished swiftly! We look forward to working with them more in the future on other projects.

Communication is non-existent!Received an estimate from them and I emailed back with some follow up questions, which they said was the fastest way to reach them. It's been a week and I haven't heard back at all._________________Within hours of the above review, Dennis reached out to tell me it's MY fault I didn't receive a response, and that their company is too busy with their personal lives to respond to emails within a reasonable time.Believe all the other negative reviews about Dennis' demeanor. He is rude and condescending, and has a tendency to exaggerate and shift blame.So now in addition to lack of communication from the company, know that you can be dealing with someone who has extremely poor customer service skills.I am normally a positive review kind of person, because I believe in supporting small, local businesses - that is why I reached out to them in the first place. But communicating with this company has been such a frustrating process, I would definitely not recommend them.________________Should others be interested in how Dennis responds by shirking responsibility, I quote the following:"you did not acknowledge or engage wih our company appropriately... We receive hundreds of requests weekly, and tracking, following, or babysitting each and every estimate is impossible."- I'm left scratching my head as to why my direct email to the company is not the appropriate way to engage with them? And actually, I've worked with successful small businesses who DO follow up and babysit every request that comes in. That's what running a business entails."Your initial request was only less than a week ago, and we do take the weekends off. Each member of our team has a family, and we each respect the Sabbath."- It had been 5 business days (Sunday to Friday) since my email went out. If you have so many preoccupations that make you unreachable, then I would warn others to seriously consider their options before making a request with this company.
If you are looking for an affordable, honest, and efficient company and crew to take care of your lawncare needs, this is the one for you! They have always been on time with their services, and if something prevents that, they always communicate. Worth every extra penny spent. Great group of people!
I wasn’t happy with my lawn maintenance company from last year and decided to give Dependable Lawn Care a try. They did a Spring Clean Up, and wow, it looks great! Spotless! The crew were professional, respectful and took such care, even giving my flower beds some extra attention. A big thanks to Dennis and his team. They work fast and did an amazing job, as well as checking in with me afterwards.
Dennis and his team did an incredible job!! We had a company that came in before them and they did a “complete fall cleanup” which ended up being, well... not so complete. I reached out to Dennis and he was there within 2 days, and WOW! What a difference! I wish I took before photos, but here are some from afterwards! Thank you again, Dennis! You’re a life saver!
